Luvi is the Turkish equivalent of the word Luwian in English. The Luwians are a group of people who lived in Anatolia, in present-day Turkey, in around 2300 BC. They were called “the people of light”. Many other languages get the word ‘light’ from Luwians as Lux in Latin, Licht in German, Lumière in French, Luz in Spanish, свет in Russian, 光 in Chinese and so on.
 
We decided to name our cave hotel after the Luwians as we wanted this elder folk of Anatolia to shed light on our way, too.
 
Luvi Cave Hotel is a combination of 4 separate buildings which used to be local houses for centuries. We have 9 cave and 4 stone rooms, each unique in architectural and interior design, furnishing and size. Our rooms offer breath-taking views making for a memorable stay with their astonishing architecture combining conventional and contemporary in a magical way. The rooms are in a dead-end street which prevents traffic and noise of any sort although located right in the center of Goreme. We have several open terraces providing spectacular views of Goreme. Our terrace bar and shared outdoor spaces offer a tempting atmosphere that attracts our guest to spend time at our hotel despite fascinating options of outdoor activities in the region. We offer our guests not only the unique beauty of Goreme, but also the opportunity to witness the authentic village life of the local people, our neighbours still living in cave houses.
